In reimagining a new normal, Gabe Doyle wants Black folks to see themselves as belonging in Wisconsin. This episode of Black Oxygen features Gabe Doyle - Director of Community Impact at United Way, former counselor, and former Project Coordinator of Project Ujima. This episode covers SO much including vicarious trauma, what it means to have a sense of belonging as bi-racial Black man when you have two white parents, the love he has for his family, and the systemic changes that are needed on in order for Black folks to thrive throughout Wisconsin. In this episode Doyle also asks the rhetorical question of, “why did we all watch Tiger King?” He ends this episode with reminding us that we all have a role to play in creating positive change.
