Centering Blackness is the theme of the 2020 YWCA Madison Racial Justice Summit. In this episode of Black Oxygen, Vanessa McDowell, CEO of the YWCA of Madison, describes what it means to center Blackness, discusses intersectionality, and what gives her hope. Known as DJ Ace to many in the community, Vanessa also shares some of her go-to songs to get folks on the dance floor.
